Experience Matters

Mr. Shah has 21 years of experience of co-founding and managing various businesses, including Hospitality, Real Estate, Food Service and Retail Pharmacies.

As Chairman of Nexus Hospitality - Mr. Shah is responsible for investor relations, acquisitions & development, as well as renovation planning, scheduling, contract negotiation and implementation. Under his supervision, Nexus completed their renovation on time and on budget with the Radisson Scranton and Wyndham, Indianapolis. He brings in vast experience in managing commercial real estate. He has done various analyses on Room Revenue Optimization & Guest service index. He has jointly worked with Carlson group to have Radisson as prototype hotel for their Revenue Optimization program. As a result, Radisson has experienced a higher market penetration, better ADR & Occupancy and thus higher RevPAR.

He jointly works with hotel General Managers on various strategies to capture corporate clientele and contract business.  He has also been instrumental in adapting new technologies for better guest service and satisfaction.

In 1991, Mr. Shah purchased a medium size pharmacy in Flushing. In four years with his vision and planning he expanded into multiple Retail pharmacies and Surgical supply outlets. In 1993, Mr. Shah had jointly started fast food franchise “Blimpies” in Manhattan and grew to several of them by 2003. In 1995 he bought a struggling retail pharmacy in Manhattan and turned it into a successful business in one year. He also started Real Estate investment club and owns a few commercial investment properties in Long Island and Flushing, New York.

Mr. Shah is Pharmacy veteran and owner of multiple retail pharmacies. At the same time his passion for real estate management in particular made him very successful candidate for Chairman of Nexus Hospitality Management.
